Orbit - Scroll less, stroll more.
Case Study
Technology should help us live healthier, happier lives. But it often keeps us from doing just that. We scroll across 1 km of content a day, mostly while sitting around. So how could Orbit, a proponent of simple healthy habits, get people to scroll less and stroll more?
Idea
Encourage fans to walk the distance they scroll people to share their average daily steps. Challenge them to increase their number, improving their health, one step at a time.
Execution
A competition between two well-known local influencers and their followers, leveraging an often overlooked phone feature – the pedometer. Users check and post their average daily steps, contributing to their team’s points.
Results
Over 3 million steps registered throughout the challenge. Close to 1,000,000 people reached and 30% increase in Instagram followers.
